Technology Review #2

I chose this picture because it shows the different levels of the program.

ABCmouse.com is a subscription-based website that is currently offered free to U.S. and Canadian public schools. With a public school classroom account, you can add up to 40 students and build lessons and track progress for each student individually.  ABCmouse.com classroom accounts are only offered free to registered public and private schools. For all other users, including parents who homeschool, they can create a family account from their homepage which you can try free for 30 days.  It's a full online curriculum for preschool through kindergarten, ages 2-6.  The curriculum includes reading, math, world around us, arts & color, music & songs, library, puzzles, and games.  The site is very interactive for students.  The Step-by-Step Learning Path presents the full ABCmouse.com curriculum in a carefully designed program of more than 450 lessons in six levels.  As the child completes each lesson, he or she is guided to the next one and is motivated to continue learning by ABCmouse.com’s tickets and rewards system.  I chose this website because I would like to use it with my daughter as well as my students in my classroom. There are testimonials from parents and teachers about their experience with this site.  It has also received the Editor's Choice Award, Parent's Choice GOLD Award, Teacher's Choice Award, and Mom's Choice Award GOLD.
